Anton Gerashenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, released a video allegedly taken in Moscow by residents of the Russian capital. The video quickly went viral thanks to a mysterious black circle (“Sauron’s Eye”) dancing above the Moscow sky. “What happened here?”
Gerashenko asked his followers, and immediately comments began to pile up trying to explain the mysterious phenomenon. “Sauron’s Eye?” joked one commentator. “Something exploded, didn’t burn, and a mushroom cloud rolled up, spread out and became a ring – but what exploded?” asked one follower. Another theory is that it’s an exhaust cloud from old fighter planes that Russians pulled out of storage.
One of Gerashenko’s followers also offered a convincing theory for the “smoke ring”. Similar mysteries were observed in 2017 in Yorkshire, England, and later the fire department confirmed that it is a phenomenon that can and does occur as a byproduct of cannon fire.
However, the question still remains as to what kind of firing was taking place in the Russian capital. Of course, there are also UFO theorists who claim that the lack of evidence for any scientific explanation suggests that it is indeed a UFO.
“Sauron’s Eye” – Yorkshire case
The mysterious phenomenon of a black smoke ring in the sky was observed in both Moscow in 2023 and Yorkshire, England in 2017. In the latter case, a similar smoke ring was seen hovering in the sky above Yorkshire, leaving local residents baffled and intrigued.
On April 20, 2017, a large black ring-shaped cloud was observed by numerous witnesses in the sky above parts of the English county of Yorkshire. The mysterious phenomenon was captured on camera by numerous people and quickly went viral on social media. The ring was estimated to be about 100 feet wide and appeared to be slowly drifting across the sky.
The event attracted significant media attention, with numerous news outlets reporting on the strange and unusual phenomenon. Theories began to emerge about what might have caused the ring, ranging from military aircraft to a meteorite impact. However, none of these theories provided a satisfactory explanation for the unusual sighting.
The most widely accepted explanation for the phenomenon was that it was a byproduct of a military training exercise. Specifically, it was suggested that the ring was caused by cannon fire from an artillery battery, which produced a large smoke ring as a result of the explosion. This explanation was supported by local firefighters, who confirmed that similar smoke rings had been observed during controlled burns in the area.
However, some people remained skeptical of this explanation, pointing out that the ring appeared to be too perfect and symmetrical to have been caused by a natural phenomenon. Others suggested that it might be a UFO or some other kind of extraterrestrial activity.
Despite the ongoing debate about the true nature of the phenomenon, the smoke ring that appeared in the skies over Yorkshire in 2017 remains one of the most fascinating and unusual events of recent years. Whether it was caused by military exercises, a natural phenomenon, or something more mysterious, it continues to capture the imagination of people around the world.
